November 20 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
When labor activists came to Washington, D.C., to demand a higher minimum wage for restaurant workers, they clashed with an unexpected adversary: restaurant workers.
In a new documentary short, Reason explores what eliminating the so-called tip credit has meant for dining in the nation’s capital. We spoke with workers, business owners, and activists.
If they’re getting paid more, why are D.C. restaurant workers so angry?
Come watch the film, which will be followed by a panel discussion featuring the filmmaker, Justin Zuckerman, and participants in the documentary.
The evening will include The Battle Over D.C. Restaurants documentary screening followed by a brief panel discussion. Light food and drinks will be served.
