The Census Bureau says that’s where more Americans are headed:
Three states ââ?¬â?? Florida, California and Texas ââ?¬â?? were expected to account for nearly half of the country’s population growth between 2000 and 2030, the Census Bureau said. Together, the South and West should account for 88 percent of the nation’s projected population growth. The number of people living in the South and West was expected to increase to 65 percent in 2030 from 58 percent in 2000. For the same period, the share of population living in the Northeast and Midwest was predicted to decline from 42 percent to 35 percent.
The fastest growing states are expected to be, in order, Nevada, Arizona, Florida and Texas. Here’s the whole story.
