Thuy Nguyen is a Data Scientist at Reason Foundation, where she works cross-functionally with the Pension Integrity Project, government finance, and transportation teams.
Prior to joining Reason, Nguyen was an editorial member at US-Vietnam Review, University of Oregon, following her job in development and public health advocacy in Vietnam.
Nguyen holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Oregon, where she specializes in Data Science and Quantitative Research Methods. Her doctoral project applied statistical modeling, network analysis, and text analysis. Before that, she earned a Master’s in Public Policy from The University of Tokyo, Japan.
Nguyen’s work has been published in US-Vietnam Review, the Society for Military History Journal. She also has several forthcoming book chapters to be published with Cambridge University Press and ISEAS Publishing.
Nguyen is based in Washington, DC.
