Jeff Bennett

Jeff Bennett is a professor in the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University. He has over 40 years' experience as a teacher, researcher and consultant in the fields of environmental economics, resource economics and agricultural economics.
He is a distinguished fellow and former president of the Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society, a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia, an elected member of the Mont Pelerin Society, on the Academic Advisory Boards of the Centre for Independent Studies and the Menzies Research Centre and a member of the editorial boards of the Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics and the Australian Journal of Environmental Management.
Jeff is also principal of the consulting group Environmental & Resource Economics. His current research interests focus on non-market environmental valuation and the role of the private sector in environmental management.
