Gabe Benitez is the director of grants at the Reason Foundation, leading efforts to build and sustain strategic partnerships with organizational partners. Prior to joining Reason, he served in various fundraising roles at the Fund for American Studies, the University of Chicago, and the Cato Institute. Gabe earned a bachelor’s degree from American University and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is currently based in Chicago, IL.

In his free time, Gabe enjoys playing one of his many instruments, including guitar, banjo, ukulele, and piano, as well as cooking, reading, biking and exploring Chicago. A native of Southern California, he is a fan of both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Dodgers, as well as Chelsea F.C.
