September 1 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Washington, D.C.
You are invited to join friends of Reason Foundation for a discussion of Fusionism: Liberty, Virtue, and the Future of the American Right, the new book by Reason Senior Editor Stephanie Slade.
Fusionism makes a compelling case that fusionism—the idea that both liberty and virtue are necessary for human flourishing—is a fundamental component of a free and prosperous society. Slade traces the history of the modern conservative movement and makes a convincing case that the movement has drifted from the principles that once defined its relevance. Early reviews call the book “a splendid read” and “a welcome reappraisal of conservative intellectual history and an incisive exploration of the ideological fault lines now dividing the American right.”
Join us for a lively conversation about one of the most influential philosophical traditions in American political thought. We’ll enjoy brief remarks from Slade, hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and good company.
