I am jumping on the train of blogs on hybrids here, but just want to make it clear that I think hybrid cars are great, and are the next wave of improvements in autos that reduce their emissions and help clean our air. Still, we have to approach them with our eyes open to all the implications of our policies regarding them. Ted and Len have pointed out some interesting stuff. Another come from our friends up North, a bulletin from CanStats alerted me to this article which argues that even if you think we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, there are many far more efficient ways to do it than with hybrid vehicles.
