Mary Peters speaks in Columbus Ohio

US DOT secretary Mary Peters will be speaking at The Buckeye Institute on the dramatic improvements in highway safety and the need for fundamental reform for surface transportation. Sam Staley, Reason’s Director of Urban and Land Use Policy and co-author of The Road More Traveled, will be introducing her at the event, which is open to the public and set for Wednesday, 17 September. Samuel R. Staley, Ph.D. is a senior research fellow at Reason Foundation and managing director of the DeVoe L. Moore Center at Florida State University in Tallahassee where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in urban planning, regulation, and urban economics. Prior to joining Florida State, Staley was director of urban growth and land-use policy for Reason Foundation where he helped establish its urban policy program in 1997.
