Kaitlyn Boecker is a government affairs specialist at Reason Foundation. In her role, Boecker engages state and federal policymakers on consumer freedom and drug policy issues, bringing over a decade of advocacy experience at the federal, state and local level to the Government Affairs team.

Boecker has a background in on the ground advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and lobbying on both sides of the aisle. She works with state elected officials across the country to protect individual freedom of choice, and to advance harm reduction policies.

Prior to joining Reason, Boecker led the Federal Affairs team at Juul Labs Inc., consulted for the National Harm Reduction Coalition, and oversaw Drug Policy Alliance's work across the mid-Atlantic region. Boecker has frequently testified before the Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia legislative bodies. A Nebraska native, she earned her B.A. from Pomona College in Claremont, CA before moving to Washington, D.C.
