Cathy Young

Cathy Young is a contributing editor and columnist at Reason, the critically acclaimed monthly magazine advancing free minds and free markets. Since 2000, Young has also been a regular op-ed columnist for The Boston Globe.
Young is the author the books Ceasefire!: Why Women and Men Must Join Forces to Achieve True Equality (The Free Press, February 1999) and Growing Up in Moscow: Memories of a Soviet Girlhood (Ticknor & Fields, 1989).
From 1993 to 1999, Young was an opinion columnist for the Detroit News. Her articles have also appeared in The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, National Review, The New Republic, and numerous other publications.
Young was born in Moscow, Russia and came to the United States in 1980. She earned B.A. in English from Rutgers University in 1988.
