PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the overall administration and support for Reason Foundation’s Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce) system. This person will:
- Manage the day-to-day data entry (either executing directly for entry level candidates or overseeing a contractor for more senior candidates)
- Make improvements to the Salesforce user experience including creation of custom dashboards and reports, based on a deep understanding of business needs across the organization
- Manage custom integrations with PostUp, Wealth Engine/ iwave, Sage 100 and other platforms
- Improve processes associated with all aspects of Reason’s database management
We will consider both entry-level candidates and Salesforce super-users. Part and full time positions will be considered. Compensation will vary accordingly.

- Will have a working vision for how Salesforce should be used within the context of a nonprofit organization, and the skills to implement it
- Will have the curiosity and willingness to learn new skills
- Will be willing to become a Salesforce expert and participate in the Salesforce community
- Is someone who wants to be a go-to person for the users. The candidate should be an advocate for Salesforce within the organization and help to expand its use.
- Takes data quality seriously and works to maintain a clean and unfettered database
- Can work with users to translate needs into processes and then execute within Salesforce
- Understands the inner workings of a fundraising team and can position Salesforce to drive fundraising goals
- Has a customer service orientation combined with the ability to work well with others
- Has experience with spreadsheets (excel, google sheets)
- Has strong attention to detail
- Has a commitment to Reason’s mission
QUALIFICATIONS FOR EXPERIENCED APPLICANTS
- 5+ years Salesforce administrator experience on a fundraising team
- Creativity, initiative, excitement about the possibilities of Salesforce
- Excellent business analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with people of varying technical skills
- Previous experience in an end-user technical support role
- Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Donor research and meeting recommendations
- Email marketing execution
- List management and growth
- Interacting with Reason’s magazine and letter printers for subscriptions and mailings
- Reinventing data processes including gift entry and grant management
LOCATION
This role can work from home anywhere in the U.S. or out of Reason’s Washington, DC, or LA office. Travel may be requested 2-4 times annually for team meetings but is not required
