Major Gifts Officer

We’re looking for a Major Gifts Officer-someone who can help us build strong relationships between Reason and our generous supporters, introduce new supporters to Reason, and help us work with our friends to strengthen our financial position.
If this sounds like you, then we’d like to hear from you! You just might be the person to help us learn more about the interests, passions, and values of our potential supporters, and to connect them with projects and people at Reason in meaningful ways.
Dynamic, interesting, well-rounded people who are interested in libertarian principles are encouraged to apply. Qualifications include:
- Commitment to libertarian principles (individual rights, free markets, limited government, voluntarism, and peace), and familiarity with Reason’s work
- Over three years of experience in major gift fundraising
- Familiarity with the literature and technology of major gift fundraising
- Excellent writing, oral communication, and organization skills
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to balance shifting and competing priorities
Job location is negotiable; DC or LA are preferred. Candidates at all levels of experience are invited to apply. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
