About the Role

Reason is seeking a Salesforce Administrator for the overall administration and support of our CRM system, Salesforce. As the primary system administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions including user maintenance, data clean-up, creating dashboards and reports, and managing custom integrations. You will be our go-to Salesforce guru and we will rely on you to take charge of reinventing and improving Salesforce to better fit Reason’s needs. Over time, the role may include list management, gift entry oversight, and email marketing execution. 

To be successful, you will need to have a knack for creative problem solving and the ability to manage various projects at once. At least three years of experience working as a Salesforce Administrator is needed along with a Salesforce certification. Additional experience working with nonprofits is preferred. 

The Salesforce Administrator will report to the Director of Development. This role can be done virtually anywhere in the US. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary system administrator
  • Handle all basic administrative functions including user maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields, and other routine tasks
  • Automate processes using Salesforce tools such as process builder, flow automation, and validation rules
  • Manage custom integrations with WordPress, Maropost, Wealth Engine, Sage 100, and other platforms
  • Train new users and update existing users when changes are made
  • Plan ahead for scheduled upgrades, seasonal releases, and long term projects
  • Identify areas of improvement and/or changes to the system, and implement these changes as appropriate
  • Collaborate with members of the development, marketing, and operations teams for Salesforce needs
  • Occasionally assist with data migration

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Email marketing execution
  • List management and growth
  • Interacting with Reason’s magazine and letter printers for subscriptions and mailings
  • Reinventing data processes including gift entry and grant management

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator
  • A Salesforce Admin certification
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, processes, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity 
  • A working vision for how Salesforce should be used within the context of a nonprofit organization and fundraising team
  • A strong commitment to data quality and a clean and unfettered database
  • Familiarity with Salesforce extensions, add-ons, and integrations
  • Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to set and meet deadlines and prioritize multiple requests
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and work with users to translate those needs into processes
  • A customer service orientation combined with the ability to work well with others including people of varying technical skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new skills
  • Excellent business analysis and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail
  • A commitment to Reason’s mission

Compensation

The projected salary range for this role is $70,000-$100,000. This salary is contingent upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
