Privatization Supporter Receives Threats

East Baton Rouge Parish school Superintendent Clayton Wilcox is under 24-hour security watch after someone reported overhearing a group of school system employees threaten to hurt or kill Wilcox for pushing to privatize the jobs of more than 400 employees. The School Board is scheduled to vote Thursday whether to expand its management contract with ARAMARK and hand over more than 400 custodial, maintenance, warehousing and groundskeeping workers and save $5 million a year! Of course, privatization and saving money is good for the kids (more money on classroom etc)…but that’s no reason to support it.
