According to the Wall Street Journal, outsourcing has led to a 90,000 increase of domestic computer-system employment last year. Quoting a computer industry-sponsored study expected to be released Tuesday, March 30, offshore outsourcing now has empirical evidence proving its benefits to job growth here at home. The study goes further to claim that outsourcing has created twice the number of new computer-service jobs than displaced, while raising wages in several employment sectors. By 2008 roughly 317,000 U.S. jobs may be created from savings realized through outsourcing. So to all the politicians itching to help job growth, promote instead of discourage outsourcing. Pick up a copy of this report, and tell your constituents how outsourcing can lead to more U.S. jobs.
