In LA, Mayor Hahn and some mayor wannabes have been duking it out over traffic. Mostly, their solutions have been small, bad or vague. Speaking of vague, here’s what one said during a radio interview:
Asked by a caller if he favored opening carpool lanes to single-passenger vehicles, he said, “If there’s a problem … I’m going to fix it.” But he didn’t say what he would do.
And during a debate in which transportation was front and center, one candidate showed up a half hour late because he was, of course, stuck in traffic.
