Arizona House Passes Transportation PPP Bill, 53-1

A noteworthy development on the transportation PPP front…yesterday, the Arizona House of Representatives passed—by a whopping 53-1 margin (6 not present)—a broad-ranging, state-of-the-art update to its transportation PPP statutes.

The legislation is House Bill 2396, which is available here (note: the actual language is contained in the adopted amendments). The bill replaces Arizona’s current PPP law (considered archaic by most experts, as it dates back to the “early” days of the 1990s). As I’ve written before, this is a long overdue step for Arizona.
