An overview of Ohio’s open enrollment policies

Ohio gets a grade of "F" in Reason Foundation's report evaluating each state’s open enrollment laws in seven critical areas.

Open enrollment lets students attend traditional public schools other than their assigned ones. There are two types of open enrollment: Cross-district lets students transfer to public schools outside their assigned districts. Within-district open enrollment lets students transfer to other public schools inside their school district.
