Will We Enter a Lost Decade?

My colleague Anthony Randazzo takes a more detailed look at the December unemployment numbers, but I wonder if we are at risk of pushing ourselves into our version of Japan's Lost Decade. I discuss it in my most recent post on the National Review's on-line blog "The Corner." I write in part:

Unfortunately, policymakers inside the beltway in Washington, D.C., still think it's government that needs to lead the economy out of the recession. In truth, it will be private investment in long-term wealth creation that will be the key to sustained recovery.
