Remembering insourcing

In political discourse it’s customary to fixate on a small part of a complex issue, overstate the significance of that small part, and ignore the other parts of the issue. For example, there’s so much talk about outsourcing, and so little about it’s counterpartââ?¬â??insourcing (my spellchecker doesn’t even recognize the term). Here’s a map that shows how many jobs are insourced to each state, and go here to see recent examples of insourcing. Foreign companies set up shop in the US for many different reasons: skilled workforce, lighter tax burden, good infrastructure, political stability. Might be nice to redirect some of that outsourcing angst toward improving the features that make America attractive to foreign investment.
