Robert Cervero is an Associate Professor of City and Regional Planning at the University of California, Berkeley, College of Environmental Design. He has just completed a book on the link between the land use and design characteristics of suburban activity centers and their commuting problems. Over the past few years he has also been doing regional economic development work in Indonesia through a World Bank project.
