About the Role

Reason Foundation is seeking a highly organized receptionist to join our Washington, D.C., office. This role is central to keeping our office running smoothly, assisting with events, and supporting our staff and operations. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about Reason’s mission. This is an in-person role with part-time and full-time options available.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, building maintenance, deliveries, and incoming calls.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for in-office meetings.
  • Assist with office events, including managing RSVPs, working with caterers, and day-of execution.
  • Handle printing, mailing, and general administrative tasks.
  • Keep office supplies stocked and organized; interface with vendors as needed.
  • Provide on-site support for Reason events and other D.C.-based activities.
  • Assist with day-to-day office operations and provide administrative support to staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and working independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Docs.
  • Prior experience in an administrative, office coordination, or events support role is a plus.
  • Commitment to Reason Foundation’s mission and principles.
  • This position is based in our Washington, D.C., office. It is not eligible for remote work.

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience and availability.
