About the Role

Reason is an organization with 100+ staff members, two offices, one in Los Angeles, CA, and one in Washington, DC, and we continue to grow! We’re in need of a Talent Coordinator Fellow to support our increasing recruitment efforts by providing administrative support, maintaining and organizing candidate data, and assisting with special projects. This year-long experience, part of our Fellowship Program, will give you a chance to explore and promote the principles of individual liberty, free markets, and the rule of law while building your resume and learning how we recruit our top-tier staff, onboard new employees, and maintain employee engagement. Previous Fellows have gone on to work at Reason long-term or other positions within our network.

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, is highly organized, and has an interest in recruitment and talent development. A keen eye for detail and some administrative experience is ideal. Reporting to the Talent Manager, this is a full-time position with the option to be in-office in Los Angeles, CA, or Washington, DC, or to work virtually anywhere in the US. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in crafting job descriptions 
  • Promote roles on various industry job boards and social media
  • Update applicant tracking system
  • Maintain and organize candidate data
  • Assist with recruitment efforts at events and conferences
  • Manage career inboxes and respond to inquiries
  • Verify and update employee information in HR database
  • Assist with various talent-related projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Some administrative experience
  • Experience in talent acquisition or recruiting is a plus
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new skills
  • Alignment with Reason’s mission to advance libertarian principles
