The United States of Paranoia, Washington DC, August 22

  •  August 22, 2013
     8:00 am

Crazy conspiracy theories make you think, make you laugh, and always make you wonder if they might actually be true. In his new book The United States of Paranoia: A Conspiracy Theory, Reason book editor Jesse Walker looks lays out five conspiracy narratives that recur in American politics and culture–and shows how these tangled stories reveal profound truths about the anxieties and experiences of the people who believe and repeat alternative theories of history. Publishers Weekly calls it “a terrific, measured, objective study of one of American culture’s most loaded topics.” The book will be available online and in stores on August 20.

Join us to celebrate the release of Jesse Walker’s latest book.
