Debate: The Soho Forum Live — Do We Need to Impose Tighter Lockdowns?

Coronavirus lockdowns should be lifted and replaced with a targeted strategy that protects the old and other high-risk groups.

Do We Need to Impose Tighter Lockdowns?

With Covid cases rising in the US, there has been a call to revert to tighter lockdowns. Governors and mayors have already started imposing greater restrictions on everyday life.

Infectious disease epidemiologist Martin Kuldorff disagrees with this approach, recently tweeting:  “Lockdowns are killing people. Our failure to properly protect the elderly is killing people.”

On Sunday, December 13, at 3:00 PM ET, Dr. Kuldorff will take the virtual stage at the Soho Forum to defend the resolution: Coronavirus lockdowns should be lifted and replaced with a targeted strategy that protects the old and other high-risk groups.

Taking the negative: UC Irvine epidemiologist Andrew Noymer.
