Kentucky ranks 14th in the nation in state highway performance and cost-effectiveness, falling four spots from last year’s report. Kentucky ranks 13th in total highway disbursements, 44th in fatalities, 37th in deficient or functionally obsolete bridges and 43rd in urban Interstate congestion. Kentucky’s best rankings come in administrative disbursements (1st), rural Interstate condition (1st) and state-controlled highway miles (8th).
