Delaware ranks 11th in the nation in state highway performance and cost-effectiveness, with no change in position from last year’s report. Delaware ranks 22nd in total highway disbursements, 29th in fatalities, 13th in deficient or functionally obsolete bridges and 12th in urban Interstate congestion. Delaware’s best rankings come in narrow rural lanes (1st), rural other principal arterial condition (1st) and state highway agency miles (7th).
