Lisa Snell is director of education and child welfare at Reason Foundation, a nonprofit think tank advancing free minds and free markets.

Snell, who has testified before the California State Legislature and numerous government agencies, has recently authored policy studies on school violence, charter schools, and child advocacy centers.

Snell is regular contributor to School Reform News and Privatization Watch. Her commentary has also appeared in USA Today, the Orange County Register, Los Angeles Daily News, the Newark Star-Ledger, and numerous other publications.

Prior to joining Reason, Snell taught public speaking and argumentation courses at California State University, Fullerton.

Ms. Snell holds a Master of Arts in Communication from California State University, Fullerton.
