Revitalizing Detroit After Bankruptcy, a Panel Discussion and Q&A Session

How to rightsize city government, determine what to privatize and outsource, and lure jobs back to Detroit

As Detroit prepares to file its bankruptcy restructuring plan, a former assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, a local business leader, and a panel of local and national policy experts will detail specific regulatory changes, tax and pension reforms, competitions for city services, asset privatization, and new redevelopment projects to help revive the city. Shikha Dalmia, award-winning former editorial writer at the Detroit News, will moderate the panel discussion, which will be followed by a Q&A session. Complimentary food and drinks will be available at the event at the Hotel Crowne Plaza Pontchartrain on Thursday, February 20, at 10 am.
