Despite Pressure, Federal Competitive Sourcing Remains Strong

A panel of federal agency officials agreed that they were going to get serious about implementing competitive sourcing late last week. Indeed, the Office of Management and Budget asked agency officials to complete long term plans for further implementation. The plans, which will require agencies to subject a certain number of jobs to private competition over the next several years, will give OMB a tool to determine whether agencies deserve the top rating in competitive sourcing.
