U.S. DOT Releases Primer on Congestion Pricing

The U.S. Department of Transportation has released a primer on congestion pricing--not the money-grab cordon pricing schemes such as those in London or attempted in New York City. Rather, this report focuses on the benefits of true market prices that change with the level of demand to ensure free-flow traffic 24/7.

The report covers the economics of congestion pricing, basic economics benefits, efficiency considerations and real-world examples and empirical estimates of prices and impacts.

The report is also short (a benefit) at ust 24 pages.
