NPR: Prospects for Private Prisons Look Good

Despite today's economic climate, the outlook seems good for the private corrections industry, according to NPR's Marketplace. One analyst sums up the situation succinctly: "Because budgets are tight, it's hard for states to commit to building their own new prisons, which then has the tendency to exacerbate the overcrowded problem and therefore increases demand for private sector beds."
