Happy Hour with Reason - Wednesday, June 24, 6 p.m. at Marvin in Washington, D.C.
Location: 2007 14th Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20009 (Map)
- June 24, 2009
On Wednesday, June 24, starting at 6 p.m., Reason magazine's D.C.-based staff will host a Happy Hour at the acclaimed Marvin bar on 14th street just above U. Please join us to celebrate:
-The release of our July issue, featuring a cover story about President Obama's misguided emulation of Japan's "lost decade" of the 1990s, a Brian Doherty examination of Patri Friedman's "Seasteading" project, a peek into the government's official 9/11 coloring book, and much more.
-Reason's success at the 51st annual Southern California Journalism awards competition, including two first-place trophies and three honorable mentions.
-The advent of the Summer Solstice, which we will honor by enjoying beverages outside.
Marvin is located at 2007 14th Street NW, one block west of the U Street Cardozo Metro Stop on the Green Line. Join us for drinks and discussion on Marvin's Best of DC rooftop deck, which boasts a full bar and a selection of over 30 Belgian brews. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and ends when you say so. Come early for Reason swag, including free copies of the July issue, bumper stickers, and more!
Hope to see you on the 24th!
