Happy Hour with Reason - Thursday, May 21, 6.30 p.m. at The Big Hunt in Washington, D.C.
Location: 1345 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. (Map)
- May 21, 2009
Please join Reason magazine's Washington, D.C.-based staff for a happy hour this Thursday, May 21 at The Big Hunt in Dupont Circle, starting at 6.30 pm.
While we enjoy the spring weather on The Big Hunt's rooftop deck, we'll be celebrating:
-The release of our June issue, featuring Science Correspondent Ronald Bailey's comprehensive cover story on the Obama administration's positively Carteresque support for alternative energy subsidies. Bailey will be on hand to discuss kilowatt hours and the like.
-Reason being named a seven-time finalist in the L.A. Press Club's 51st annual Southern California Journalism Awards, beating all other California mags like a gong.
Special guests will include Reason Contributing Editor Kerry Howley, in town from corn country where she's purtesng an M.F.A. in creative nonfiction at the University of Iowa.
The Big Hunt is located at 1345 Connecticut Ave. NW, a block south of Dupont Circle. The fun starts at 6.30 pm and ends when you say so. We'll be in the upstairs bar enjoying $3 pints, on special throughout the night.
Hope to see you there!
