Bio
Todd Davidson is Kansas Policy Institute’s Fiscal Policy Analyst. Davidson is responsible for KPI’s transparency portal, KansasOpenGov.org, and researching tax and fiscal policy in the Sunflower State.
While pursuing his M.A. in Economics at the University of Kansas, Davidson developed an economic model of economic development investment in western Wyandotte County. He also examined the “Paradox of Plenty,” in which resource rich countries (e.g., oil-rich Nigeria) grow at a much slower rate than other countries without the apparent advantage of abundant natural resources.
Davidson’s work has been published in the Wall Street Journal as well as the Wichita Eagle. He is also a co-author of Kansas Policy Institute’s, Tax Reform Gears Kansas for Growth and Removing Barriers to a Better Public Education.
A lifelong Kansan, Todd is originally from Tonganoxie and holds both a B.S. and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Kansas.
